You need to check whether the color of the Saree are bleeding or not by washing every corner of it. Do not wash it with the detergent during the first time. Use detergents after you are done with 2-3 plain water washes. Use mild detergent for a quick wash. But do not soak your Saree in the detergent. Do not brush or lash the Silk Saree it will lead to tearing. Do not bundle it and keep it wet for a long time.
