Description
Special Technique/Craft:
Batik, originating in Indonesia, is a wax-resist dyeing and printing process that came to India around 2000 years ago. Batik printed cloth is created by dripping hot wax onto fabric in a variety of patterns which blocks that area of fabric in the dyeing process. This process is repeated to create complex, multi-hued batiks, featuring beautiful, light striations of colour and tonal, intricate prints.

Craft Disclaimer:
Batik, crafted with the traditional wax-resist technique, features organic patterns that naturally vary in color and design. These subtle irregularities and rich dye textures embody the craft’s beauty. Over time, the fabric softens, and the colors evolve, enhancing its unique charm with every wear.
