Description
Special Technique/Craft:
Daboo‘ or ‘Dabu‘ is an ancient mud resist hand-block print from Akola, Rajasthan. Traditionally only natural dyes were used but now-a-days with the availability of synthetic dyes, a lot of color variations are being tried by the artisans. For a colorful look, fabrics can be dyed more than once, via the process of double and triple dabu. The process of Dabu creates a subtle tonal depth in the prints where the patterns used are in- spired by motifs that are picked from nature and its surrounding elements.
