Description
Kalamkari is a type of hand-painted or block-printed cotton textile, wherein motifs are inspired from the folklore and are hand painted using the tool of kalam directly onto the fabric. The process involves washing, rinsing, soaking and bleaching the fabric and applying mordants and dyes using substances like indigo (blue), madder (red), mango bark (yellow) and palm sugar (black). Painting on the fabric is done with a kalam, charcoal and myrobalan paste.

Gentle hand and machine wash

Bought for my mom and fell in love with the dupatta so ordered one for myself. Unfortunately, there is a huge difference in the two with the colours as well as the cloth. The first one’s material is very sturdy and mine is thin and transparent.
Taavi’s dupattas are really beautiful but I’m saddened to say that the quality is dropping.

First i bought black and grey zig-zag pattern dupatta which i liked so much that i instantly order 2 more from taavi after receiving my black dupatta.
This one is beautiful but cloth is little different from black one. This one is little khadi type but soft cotton but i am keeping it bcs it’s beautiful and comfortable in the end. ❤️

The duppata is very soft, has good length and width, good print and shades.
Only drawback I found was that there were spots along the border which seem to have come due to coloring. Else it’s a good buy!
